Whimsy Stamps - What's lurking!

Hey Crafty Friends!

Today's creation is a tank full of fish and maybe a sea monster too!

The tank has been created using some of the best Whimsy Stamps under the sea stencils (obviously in my opinion),  stamps and Dies not to mention the fabulous ATC Book Die Set.

Just take a little look at the inside.  I'm so excited about this.

Here's the list of goodies you might already have in your stash to recreate this or a similar project.

Ocean Stencil -  heat embossed with clear embossing powder directly to a Paper pad sheet

ATC Book Die Set -  assembled,  however using one of the frame die sets to die cut a window.

Fadoodle Frames Scalloped Rectangle Die Set -  this is the set I used to create the window.  I also cut 2 frames using the largest dies to mount on the back and front.  Doing this meant that the tank could free stand.

Octopi Guy -  here's your sea monster lurking amongst the dark ocean and hiding behind the coral reef.

Build an Ocean Die Set -  providing the colour and homes to the little fishes.

You'll find acetate really useful to create the dimensions for the coral reef and to stick any embellishments to that you want to have floating.

Whimsy Stamps - Fish Fancy

Afternoon my crafty friends!

Just look at this spectacular fantail fish from the Whimsy Stamps Fish Fancy stamp set.  Very deserving of a comic book burst frame.

I've coloured this image using Spectrum Noir Tri Blends, perfect to achieve the gradient in colours.

At the bottom of this post, you will find a list of all other Whimsy goodies used, I'm always amazed at how many different dies, papers and stamps I use per card and always so pleased that everything works so well together.

Escape into another World

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a sweet shaker card of a mermaid blissfully unaware. She's dropped to the ocean bed emerged in her storybook ignoring all of the tiny sea creatures that surround her.   I've captured the delightful scene through a fishbowl looking glass.

Here's a list of Whimsy goodies: I use affiliate links at no extra cost to you,  however if you do click and make a purchase I may earn a small amount of commission.  Thank you for supporting my blog.

Have a great day.

Thanks so much!

Good Morning!

I've a lovely elegant card to share with you today using a few of my favourite Whimsy dies. Its a corner to corner flat shaker card, you know how much I love to add a shaker element to my cards.

My main focus on this card is the Magnolia background die. It's such a beautiful all over design that you can bring to life by colouring individual elements or inking like I have.

I made this card by cutting two pieces of card the same size and inking them as identically as possible. I then ran one piece through my die cutting machine with the Magnolia die. Taking my other piece, I adhered a piece of cellophane to 3 sides and left the top open so that I could easily pour some of the gorgeous This Calls for Confetti shaker pieces in. When I was happy with the amount of shaker pieces I sealed the top.

Next I carefully glued the die cut piece of card on top of the shaker part and then mounted this whole piece to a card blank.

Using the Cutie ABC Alphabet Die Set, I cut the 'thanks' letters out and coloured them in gradient shades of pink. Grey and pink work so well together.

Thanks for popping over.  I hope you have a great day.

Love Lu xx

Holiday Snaps!

Hey Crafty Friends!

Have many of you managed to get away for a summer holiday this year?  Sadly we haven't but we've enjoyed soaking up the sun on our days off when we can.

These two made the most of their holiday time and framed their beach bods!! This card is actually great as a scrapbook page don't you think! I had so much fun making this.  I actually couldn't make up my mind if I should have gone with 'sn@ps' , 'schnapps' or 'snaps', I'm still not sure why I picked 'sn@ps', but I like it all the same!

I think I will crown this my favourite 2022 Summer Card!

Here's a list of all the fabulous Whimsy goodies that I used to make it:  affiliate links are used at no extra cost to yourself.
