Carnival Season

Carnival and Fairs are just around the corner!  It would be nice to have some sunshine too but we will carry on regardless.  All too often I've been found trying to hook a duck in the blustery winds or wipe a child's face clean after eating candyfloss during a sun-shower!

Today's card is a little walk down memory lane.

I've used the Gnome Fair Fun clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps to create a fun dimensional card.

Copic and Spectrum Noir Markers were used to colour the images and Harmony Water Reactive Inks were used to colour the sky and grass.

Thanks for popping over.

Have a great day!

Amazing Parents!

Hi Crafty Friends!

I'm back today with this sweet little Congratulations to parenthood card!

I've used several pre released stamp and die sets from Whimsy Stamps to create this card and I'm more than pleased with the outcome.  You'll see I used the before part of this set. It almost paints a pretty picture of the life ahead! 😜  The after part of this set is hilarious!

The Before and After stamp set is such a great set. You have a young couple image and happy sentiments and you have the same couple tired and aged with hysterical sentiments, my favourite one being 'you will never sleep again!' boy is that true for me!

That big yellow background is the Hearts Floating background stamp. Big bold hearts that I coloured using Copic markers. I framed the background using the largest die from the Shaker Maker Rectangle Die Set and turned my card into a shaker card.

Thank you for popping over.  Have a great day!

Here's a little shopping list for you

Let's do Lunch!

Well lookie here! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and let me tell you, the ants are out!  These ones of course are out to wish someone a happy birthday.

Today I wanted to showcase the Pinwheel stencil.  Not only is it a fun pinwheel stencil perfect for inking up fun and bright backgrounds but I saw something else. I saw watermelons with exploding seeds!

I inked up the entire stencil using jet black ink and then took my marker pens to the design and found the watermelons hidden within. It was a very therapeutic process and I was really pleased with the results.

After that, the rest of the card was quick and easy. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut my images and then using one of the wonky window dies I cut a bright green border to overlay my watermelon background paper.

Here's a list of products used to create this card.  There is lots of dimension since I've used foam pads for depth and cut the sentiment several times. All my adhesives I've bought from my local craft stores.

Colouring medium of my choice are Spectrum Noir Markers and Harmony Quick Dry Inkpads.

Thank you so much for popping over.

I hope you have a great day.

I fart because.......

Hey Crafty Friends!  (Kelly, because I know you won't be able to resist this one!)

Today I'm here with some humour, I know some of us are feeling this pinch lately and I'm sorry/not sorry but I couldn't resist the sentiment when I decided to use the Skunk from the Animal Tiles stamp set!

Animal Tiles Clear Stamp                                Revealers Die Set 3                                Simple Sentiment Strip Dies                        Extreme Postage Die

Wonky Stitched Rectangle                         Cutie Alphabet Die                                    Alphabet Mini Stamps                   Champagne Paperpad

I've used Spectrum Noir markers and bright and bold coloured card stock to matt and Layer. It really pops doesn't it.

This was so much fun to create.  I've used the 2 largest dies from both the Extreme Postage Stamp Die and the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to create my matt and layers.  My background matt and layer is cut by 'my eye' measurements - I hate using a ruler!  I'm pleased to report that my card will still fit in an envelope using the A2 Envelope Builder Die (I just checked!) phew!!

I used a sheet from the Champagne Slimline paper pad for my papers of interest, I thought the gradient of colours, bubbles and stars on the papers would add to the humour, a floral paper would work just as effectively too, I think!  I used the Revealers die to cut what a appears to be fart gas from the Skunk.  It's a neat idea I've seen done many times.

I keep a box of the Cutie Alphabet already cut in white card stock, so searched through for a few minutes to find my letters and then coloured them using a sparkle glitter pen, up close they really sparkle.  I then cut the sentiment strips and then stamped my wording to the strip.  I find it easier that way to keep my letters a little better lined up.

Next job was to arrange it all to create what you now see!  I used foam tape, tabs and my sticker maker to adhere it all in place.

Thank you for popping over.  I hope you all have a wonderful day.
