Barbara Sproatmeyer posted a video recently of how to create this gorgeous background. Using markers and Isopropyl Alcohol.  It's so effective and I loved the outcome. 

I've coloured this image using Spectrum Noir Illustrators and Neenah Stamping card.

Day Dreams!

Hello Friends!

My Whimsy Stamps share with you today is this gorgeous Wee Stamps digital image called Wyanet.  Isn't this image so tranquil, I instantly fell in love. 

This is my first attempt at a Dome card and since I've used acetate to help with a sturdy structure, it's a bit tricky to photograph. 

I've used Spectrum Noir Illustrators to colour the image. 

Hair: CR11, CR9, CR7, CR5, CR2

Blue top: BT9, BT7, BT4, BT2

Trousers & Boots: MB1, MB2, MB3, MB4

Skin: FS6, FS7, FS8, TN2, AP1, AP2

It's a Graveyard Smash!

Hi Crafty Friends!

I am having so much fun crafting for Halloween! There are so many wonderful, fun and scary images out there for us to create with. 

This one is from Twistoon called Zombie Hand Note. It comes with a blank banner so that you can add your own wording.

How adorable this Candy image is from Krista Smith.

I wanted to keep with a Halloween trend so picked a green and purple colourway. She was so much fun to colour.

I coloured her using Spectrum Noir Illustrators and framed her using a few Whimsy dies.

I'm sharing my card using a Krista Smith Stamp called Pumpkin Carve.  You can find it in the New Section on her Etsy Store. 

I created the background using inspiration from the incredibly talented Amy Young. I wanted to create an outside scene since carving a pumpkin is just far too messy for indoors!! 

The image has been printed onto Neenah Classic Crest Card and coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrators. 

Other die elements used are from Whimsy Stamps and Lisa Horton Crafts.

Boo!

Did I scare you?

I love seeing all of the Halloween creations lately.  There is so much inspiration around and its been great fun creating my own cards this year.

I created today's card using these really cute ghost digital images from Whimsy Stamps. The image is called Sweet Sheets. 

Don't be deceived by the broomsticks! I doubt there will be much cleaning going on!! They look mischievous don't they! 

I used Spectrum Noir Illustrators to colour these, Neenah Classic Crest Card for the die cutting and Colouring. Harmony Quick Dry Ink for the background and Papermill Direct cardstock.

World Card Day - Get My Monkeys

Today is a special day indeed. Its World Card Day and its being celebrated by Whimsy Stamps with a weekend full of prizes, blog hops, tutorials and more.

I'm kicking off with a new release Digi stamp, Get My Monkeys.

I created a Misty moonlit sky by masking a circle and using harmony Quick Dry inkpads. I also tapped black glitter Sparkle Pens over the matt and layered background. 

The final touches were added using the Up in the clouds die set.

The Monster Mash

Hello Crafty Friends!

Its October and its time to share all of our Halloween makes this month! You are in for some real treats.

I'm kicking off with this gorgeous unfrightfull digital stamp set from 2 Cute Ink called Halloween Animals. Adorable comes to mind doesn't it.  That's just my kind of Halloween being the big scaredy pants that I am 🤭

Here's some pictures of how my card came together:

First I cut a piece of A4 into 4 quarters and inked one piece up and masking where I wanted my glowing moon.

I then picked a darker ink pad and feathered the edges to create a darker setting.

On goes my die-cut spooky House.

Here is the finished card blank with the additions of clouds, moon dust and moonlite grass.

I had so much fun creating this scene. I actually played The Monster Mash song several times 😂
