Birthday Pile Up!

Hey there!

So, a little while ago I was asked to make a 13th birthday card for a friends daughter Daisy.  Now young Daisy has a black and white cat called socks and a Bassett Hound called Wilma so when I realised that Whimsy had this adorable stamp, well yep, you guessed it, I had to get it!

I've used pigment inkpads for the background stencilling and heat embossed it using a WOW sparkle embossing powder and used Spectrum Noir Tri Blend brushes to colour the image.

The Cutie ABC Die set is perfect to personalise cards with names and then all framed using the wonky rectangle die.

Happy 18th Seb!

It was Seb's birthday at the beginning of the month. He turned 18!

Here is the card I made for him. He loved the pop up element of it so much, he didn't realise until last week what the sentiment said!! That just about sums him up! Easily distracted!

Anyway, he loves it and is pleased he's got a card that stays up and doesn't get knocked down by the cats.

I've linked the products below. I usually buy my Lawn Fawn goodies from the UK from Dies to Die For but they are currently out of stock, so I've linked these to the Lawn Fawn Website.

Absolutely nothing extra special here, just some die cutting and assembling.  I did die cut the giant sentiment twice and glued them together to create a shadow text but that really is as complicated as I got this time! Honestly, if you can get these dies, they are worth every penny. They create such amazing results in a very short space of time.

Thanks for popping over.

Have a great day.

Aliens in the stars!

Hi Folks!

I'm here today with another pop up card! I'm really liking these types of cards, I love the dimensions and space you've got to play around with.

This time I wanted to use the Fa Doodle Stars with a space theme. So out came the moon stamp and a boys dream stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.

Instead of using strips of card to hold the pop up together, I've used strips of acetate. That meant I could stamp parts of the moon and suspend the rocket without loosing all of the details.

Here is a list of products used

Thank you so much for popping over.

I hope you have a great day!

May all your wishes come true!

I'm here today with a slimline interactive spinner card and I've even got a little video for you of the horses in action!

This was a very easy card to make using lots of previously released Whimsy Stamps goodies, which of course I will list below.

Using the Slimline Tapered Layers Die Set, I was able to not only create the card base and shape but also the slider elements.

First I cut my main card base and set to one side.  I then cut another piece of white card of the same size and inked it with my harmony quick dry ink pads using the Pinwheel stencil.

I had some left over Slimline Rainbow Magic paper from a previous project using the same dies so thought it would be a good idea to get that used up, I think it looks great as a little frame.

I then took the smallest and thinnest die from the tapered layers die and cut two panels out for the horses to slide across.

Here is a little video of the horses in action.

Fun isn't it!

I stamped out two of the Carousel Horses from the Gnome Fun Fair Stamp set and cut around the image to leave me with just the Horses.  I coloured them using Spectrum Noir Markers and attached them to the card using several layers of round foam pads.

Summer Cuties!

Check out my little beach hut! 😍😍

I've had a lunchbox/picnic box die from Crafters Companion knocking around my craft room for some time now, I knew one day I'd finally find a reason to use it.

The Summertime Cuties clear stamp set was the perfect pairing.

Passionate Paper Creations is being sponsored by C. C. Designs this weekend.  They have generously provided all PPC friends with a discount code. All you have to do is like both pages, just follow the links above.

The picnic box now sits in my sons bedroom, he's using it as storage for seashells and stones that he says he doesn't collect 😉 but mum knows different!

So, here is my list of goodies used to create this box.

Crafters Companion Picnic Box Die and Life's A Beach stamp and die sets

Sending Positive Vibes

Hi Crafty Friends

This week we have LOTV collaborating with us to bring you more discounts and joy to your crafting world. All you need to do is be a friend of both LOTV and Passionate Paper Creations to be a winner!

To show you what wonderful whimsical images are available in LOTV store for download, I've made a little motivational card mixed with a little fairy dust!

I resized my image called Wish upon a Star to a 8.5cm so that it would fit comfortably on an A2 card blank. I used the pretty Sprinkles Scallops Rectangle Die from Whimsy Stamps to frame the image.

I used Spectrum Noir Triblends for the skin and dress and Copics for her hair.

The sending positive vibes sentiment is from clearly besotted stamps.

Thanks for popping over.
Sending positive vibes!

Reach for the Stars!

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I'm here with a fun shaker 'Congratulations' card.  I'm finding I need a lot more of these sentiment cards lately, especially as my own children are growing up and hitting so many milestones. Exams, driving tests, more exams....

The FaDoodle Stars clear stamp set from Whimsy is perfect for wishing your superstars in life, the biggest Congratulations for their achievements.

I'll be totally honest with you and admit, my main focus was always about making a shaker card using the Slimline Tapered Layers Die Set.  It's perfect for creating just the right space for those shaker pieces to move around an outside frame. Once I'd made the shaker, I didn't want to cover the lovely papers and shaker pieces with too many images, so the FaDoodle Stars stamp set was perfect for the job!

The papers I used are a favourite of mine. The slimline Rainbow Magic. They are so bright and colourful and just add the perfect amount of Sparkle to my cards. I always make sure I use up every last bit, so using a slimline die like the tapered layers, makes sure I do just that.

Thank you for popping over.
I hope you have a great day.
