Argh! turn the heating off!

Argh! Who turned the heating on!!!

I do love these comical snowmen digital stamps from Whimsy Stamps.

I've made this really quick and simple card by just choosing one main colour family and one die.

Its got lots of dimension using foam pads and became a great fun Christmas card in no time at all.

I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir Illustrators. The image was printed onto Neenah Classic Crest Card and cardstock is from Papermill Direct.

Thanks for popping over.

I hope you have a great day.

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Joy Clair Designs is a new stamping company to me and I've been so lucky to be introduced to them and work with their images.

They are sponsoring us at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook page, trust me there are lots of fabulous images to get creative with.  Make sure you join us to be part of the fun and sales!

I fell in love with this jolly Santa and couldn't wait to get him onto a card.

I've coloured him using SN Illustrators Coat and trousers: DG1, 3,4,6
Skin: FS6, 8,7
Boots: BG9, 7,6,5

I used Harmony Pigment Inks for the background Chinese Red blended with Honey Pot and then ran this piece of card through my due cutter with the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Stars die. I then placed a piece of gold matt mirror card behind to show golden stars.

Once I'd placed my Santa's and sentiments I took a few of the die cut stars and stuck them down as embellishments. I've saved the rest for a future card.

Thank you for popping over.

I hope you have a great day.

From one flake to another!

Have you seen the Dustin Pike Snowman Digital sets in the Whimsy Digital release?

Such sweet sets.  This one I decided to add an inky background to.  Using water reactive inks, I blended 2 colours onto watercard.  I layered from lightest to darkest. Frosty Jade Harmony Inkpad and Midnight to achieve an umbre sky.

I then flicked with a wet water brush and dabbed dry to create soft snow flakes. Just to brighten it up a bit I also flicked the cardstock with a clear glitter Sparkle Pen.

I printed off the image, coloured using SN Illustrators and then cut the image out.  I wanted a bit of dimension so used foam pads.

Here's a list of the Whimsy goodies used

Walking in a winter wonderland

Lee Holland Stamps what can I say! There are dozens and dozens of the cutest images available.  My particular favourites are the pandas and dragons.  You should check his shop out if you haven't and maybe pop the kettle on first and enjoy a cuppa whilst you browse.  You can see all of the Digital images here Lee Holland's Etsy shop using this link: https://etsy.me/3pIrY78

I'm using Reindeer Antlers today.  My little Dragon is out playing under the fir trees in the snow. I hope HD won't stay out there too long, he might get a bit too cold.

I've used Spectrum Noir Illustrators to colour this image. I've blended the families of AG and MG together to get a unique umbre bluey purple.

My background has been stencilled and I've added a little scalloped circle die cut frame to bring the focus of the card back to the little Dragon.

My sentiment has also been heat embossed to add dimension.

Why not join us at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends! Lee Holland is sponsoring PPCF during November. It's a relaxed community on FB filled with crafty inspiration from different artists and companies. Join so you can share what you make with us all, we'd love to be inspired by YOU!

Thank you for popping over.

I hope you have a great day.

Lots of Books - My lovely escape

Hello my Crafty Friends!

Today is a very special day indeed.  Its my daughters Birthday! (it was yesterday when I wrote this but forgot to post)

Every year I make her a card and try to find an image that I see a little bit of her in.  I came across this wonderful Moonlight Whispers image earlier this year and popped it in my Etsy basket where it has been ever since.  Last week I was filling my basket with wax melts and once again stumbled upon this digital stamp.

The gorgeous image is my girl. Books everywhere! Along with clothes, shoes, makeup......... The image was perfect for me to replicate her bedroom.

I've coloured this image with Spectrum Noir Illustrators and achieved the glittery, starry wallpaper with Frantage.

Colours for the background are LV2, TB2, TN8, MG2. I learnt this technique from using the Adventures in Colour Discovery Kit from Spectrum Noir.

I'm really hoping she loves this card.
Actually - she loved it so much she cried. It's the best one yet.

Thank you for popping over.

Have a great day.

Jolly Christmas Reindeer

Hi Crafty Friends!

This week Di's Digital Stamps is Sponsoring PPCF on their Facebook group.

Di's Digital Stamps

Be sure to pop to the page to join in the fun and see all of the beautiful cards we are sharing.

I'm sharing the Jolly Christmas Reindeer. I stencilled the background using a lovely spruce tree Layering stencil. I printed the image onto Neenah Classic Crest Card and coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrators.

I thought the Reindeer had a bit of a playful look about him, so placed him in front of the trees to look like he'd photo bombed a Winter picture.

Thank you for popping over.

Have a great day.

Think Happy Thoughts!

Hello Friends!

Today is the first of the month and that means Whimsy Stamps new releases! Isn't that exciting news!

I'm sharing today a sweet Wee Stamps image called Wee Florist. She's so adorable sitting and preparing her roses for her kitchen table.  She looked so whimsical I thought the Slimline build a scene meadow die set would be a perfect setting for her.

I used Spectrum Noir Illustrators to colour the image and used Harmony Quick Dry Inkpads to colour up the scene. Up in those clouds is the addition of a little shaker fun too!

Here's a list of all the Whimsy goodies used complete with links...
