Hello Crafty Friends!

My first post this week (albeit a bit late in the week).  I want to share a Wedding card that I was asked to make recently.

I knew when I bought this LOTV stamp it would be my most used. It's just perfect.

I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir Illustrators:

Jacket: BGR5, BGR4, BGR3, BGR2, BGR1

Dress: FS6, FS9

Brides Hair: GB5, GB3, GB1

The beautiful intricate die is from Toinc Studio, I'm not sure what it's called but it's got a Daisy Border and fits an 8 by 8 card.

Flowers were made using Sharon Callis Flower Fairies dies and papers.  I just love making these huge flowers, you'll see alot of them in the future. I added a touch of Sparkle by flicking a clear glitter pen over them.

The sentiment/names and date were added using a peg alphabet stamp set. Perfect for those who don't like designing sentiments on the computer (me).

Ugh! - 5 gold ring donuts

Hi Friends!

I am so excited to share this card with you today.  Its one of my all time favourite digital images from Twistoon.  5 Gold Ring Donuts!

I'm a huge fan of this digital stamping company and regret not always having the time to colour up the comical images available. Before the year is out I'm aiming high, I'm going to try and do at least another 5! Watch this space! 

I coloured this image using Spectrum Noir Illustrators and highlighted the eyes with a white gel pen.  I didn't want to detract from the image or my efforts in colouring so I used a stencil with a light quick dry inkpad for the background.

I used Crafters Companion Matt & Layering dies to create a frame for the image and Whimsy Stamps 'ugh' sentiment die.  (my alphabet dies were too big to cut 'bite me')

Witchy Toad Spellbound

Hi Friends!

Today I'm joining in on all the Halloween hype with this not so scary Witcy Toad digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps. 

Since he's stiring up potions and spells I knew that the wizard frame stamp set also from Whimsy Stamps would be a perfect pairing.  Not to mention the sentiments and extra embellishments from the Cast a Spell Stamp Set. 

I coloured this card using Spectrum Noir Illustrators and created a paint splatter background with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pens.  All the colours are brought together using Papermill Direct coloured cardstock.

Good morning my Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing with you one of the sweetest digital images I've had the pleasure of Colouring.

Never wanting to stick to all the rules, I decided to colour a red and yellow Giraffe. 

This gorgeous image is from Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Designs which she kindly offered as a free digital image as a sponsor to Passionate Paper Creations & Friends

I created the background using Harmony Quick Dry Inkpads and spent time blending the 4 warm colours together.  The die cut is from Tonic Studio and the sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted Stamp set which I've heat embossed. 

Rachel Millers digital image is coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrators and highlighted using a white gel pen.

Whimsical Wedding

Hi Folks!

Today's card is another showcasing the Love Bug digital stamp released by Whimsy Stamps this month along with their other bug pals. 

I was asked to make a Wedding card and knew these bugs would be perfect for the occasion.

I have added all of the other bug digital stamps to create a little wedding scene.  That's the best part of digital stamping isn't it, you get to flip, resize and overlap without too much effort.

I coloured the images using Spectrum Noir Illustrators.  I also coloured the background blue and used quick dry ink and Cloud stencils to create a delicate shadow of clouds.  Makes them look kind of whispy. 

The frame around the image happened by accident, it was an off cut from another card.  It fit so perfectly it was meant to be.

Fairies and Florals

Good morning Crafty Friends!

Today I'm here to share with you the new Triptych Dies that are launching on Create & Craft TV later this evening.

I created a rainbow cloud background for the fairies and mounted the die cut panels to the background to create 3 shaker elements.  These were then lined up and mounted to a larger piece of design paper and cardstock to create the card.

Crazy Flamingo PPCF

Hi Folks!

The best bit about crafting is you can craft any occasion at any time of the year.  I haven't figured out what this occasion is for but I'll find one!  I just new I had to make time to make a card out of this crazy flamingo!

I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir Illustrators.  The dies are from Whimsy Stamps and the background is a stencil from Lawn Fawn inked up with SN Harmony Quick Dry inks.

I ink, stamp and colour on Neenah cardstock whilst all other cardstock is from Papermill Direct. 

I love how this turned out.
