I'm Singing in the Rain........

Hi Folks!

Well it's certainly been a shower this last week.  Nothing else to do but Sing in the rain 😁

This lovely little shaker card has been made pairing a Lee Holland image and Whimsy Stamps Umbrella Stamp. 

I have created the cloud background using My Favourite Things cloud stencil and Opaque Harmony Pigment Ink. 

Frame is Whimsy Wonky Rectangle die with Lisa Horton papers. Cardstock is Papermill Direct and the die cut clouds are cut using a Magnolia die. 

Image is coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrators, CR11, 10,9&6. CT1, 2&3. GY2&3. EB6&2. GB1. 

All finished off with a few raindrop gems.

Love Bunnies

Hi Folks!

I am here today with a card that could very well pass as a valentine or anniversary card! 

Making all of these cards is generating an awful lots of scraps, so every now and then it's good to get those scraps out and try to use them up.  A great way is cutting strips. 

I cut several strips of card, I did have them in order but then I dropped them so decided to stick them down as I picked them up in their random order! 

I die cut a fancy rectangle and then cut a fancy heart shape in the centre.  I thought at this point it would be a great idea to make it a shaker card, so out came the acetate.  I've used glitter as the shaker on this card.

The image is a cute digital image from Lee Holland that you can get from the Etsy Store, it's called Love Bunnies. 

I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers to colour the image. 

MB1 - 3, GY3-5, IG1&2, BRG2&3, PP1-4

Cardstock is all from Crafters Companion.

Walking on Clouds

Hi Folks!

A different style card from me today. 

A bit of die cutting, stamping and inking. 

I was really pleased with how this actually turned out. I didn't really start with a plan, I just wanted to use my Umbrella Stamps that I've had since time began 🤭

Gladiolus August Birthday Flower Stamp

Sweet Peas for a special friend

Lovin' Turtle Whimsy Stamps

Hi Folks!

Today I'm here to share with you my last project being a Guest Designer on the Whimy Stamps Digital Design Team.

I chose to work with Lovin' Turtle which you can purchase from their website.

So, what did I do.... 

Firstly I coloured the lovely image using Spectrum Noir Illustrators pens.  I use little boxes to deliver my cards since some of them can be quite heavily embellished and require a bit more safety than an envelope. 

For this project I wanted to decorate the box so that I can deliver valentine chocolates. I make chocolate hearts for my children every year 😊

Lovin' Turtle image coupled with a few die cuts and matching papers makes for a pretty decorated box.

Finished off with some handmade flowers and gem stones.

Think Spring Bunnies Extended - Whimsy Stamps

 Hi Folks!

I'm popping in to share with you my second creation as part of the Whimsy Stamps Digital Guest Design Team.  Thank you so much for your kind comments on my post and social media platforms. 

Today I am sharing 'Think Spring Bunnies Extended' by Crissy Armstrong.  If its got extended in the name, that means its perfect for the ever popular slimline dies.  Slimline dies are not easy to get hold of in the UK, only ever a few and you need to be quick.  So my trusty  Slimline Birthday Scallops Die has made another appearance. 

I resized the image to fit inside the largest die from the slimline set.  I coloured all of the bunnies using Spectrum Noir Illustrators and Triblends.  I'm trying to keep life light and fluffy at the moment so thought rainbow colours would be perfect.  I created the sky using a Copic Marker and Blender Ink just dabbed randomly.  I also framed this card using a few handmade flowers and added a few string pearls.

This card makes me think Spring, I hope it does for you too.

Balloon Bunny from Whimsy Stamps

 Hi folks!

I am really excited to tell you that I am guest design team member for Whimsy Stamps for January! So for the next 3 Friday's I will be sharing a card made from a selection of images from the January Digital Stamps available on the Whimsy Stamps website.

My first post is Balloon Bunny a Digital Image by Some Odd Girls.  What I love most about the Digital files is the ability to resize and group together without the fuss of masking (which I've often made a few silly mistakes).

I created the background using a cloud stencil and a selection of inks to create a rainbow of clouds.  I then framed these using the largest die from Whimsy Slimline Birthday Scallops Die.

The sentiments have come from Birfday Party Dragon Clear Stamp Set, which I stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock

I resized the Bunny image to 3 different sizes, and printed on Neenah Cardstock and coloured them using Spectrum Noir Markers.  I fuzzy cut so that I could mount them onto the card.

There you have it, 3 Bunnies with lots of balloons to wish you a Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday - Sandford the birthday boy!

Today I want to share Sandford! He's from the Stuffies collection at Stamping Bella.

I coloured this image just over a year ago.  One of my aims this year is to turn most of my coloured images into cards. I always have a stash of coloured images ready to make quick cards when needed but then I find I've never the time to turn them into cards.  So, over the next few weeks whilst I'm not working, I'll turn them into cards 😊

I coloured this one whilst practising with my Spectrum Noir Classique Markers.

March Daffodil Crafters Companion Birthday Stamp & Die Set

Morning folks!

Today I bring you a cheerful Daffodil. My favourite flower 😁 Not my favourite smell though.  I just love the variations and the way they push on through the ground during the cold months and give such beautiful bursts of colour in the early Spring.

This stamp set is called March Daffodil and you can get it from Crafters Companion. Illustrated by Crafters Conpanions newest artist Sarah Kay. 

I used Tri-blend Illustrators - Citrus Green Blend, Gold Yellow Blend, Gold Brown Blend and Burnt Orange. 

Harmony Opaque Ink Pads - Orange & Straw Bale and a stencil from Creative Expressions called Triangular. 

I used Neenah Classic Crest Card to stamp the image onto and Kraft Card to create the base card and matt and layer. The Matt and layer dies are from Lisa Horton Crafts. 

I also embellished with Co ordinating sequins and heat embossed a bit of frantage. 

The lovely sentiment comes with the stamp set and finishes this card off perfectly.

February Primrose

It never gets old seeing my cards on the big screen. I even managed a few screen shots 🤭 just for my own memories.
